2006 Guns and Hoses
Charity Tennis Challenge
HEY TENNIS FANS!

It’s time for our 5th Annual Guns and Hoses Charity Tennis Challenge. This year’s event will be held on April 29, 2006. As last year, this endeavor should prove to be a fun-filled day of tennis, food, drinks, friends, and lots of wonderful prizes.

This tournament will benefit two very worthwhile charities: the San Francisco Firefighters Toy Program (SFFD) and The Bay Area Law Enforcement Assistance Fund (SFPD). Last year we were able to raise $14,000.00, and we hope to be able to exceed that amount this year. Last year’s silent auction items and raffle prizes included hotel stays, dinner certificates, Giant’s and 49er’s tickets, sports memorabilia, wine, tennis racquets, and much, much more. Bring your Checkbooks!

The tournament will be hosted by the San Francisco Tennis Club, San Francisco Firefighters Union Local 798 and the San Francisco Police Officers Association (SFPOA). A special thanks to all of them for their continued contribution to these worthy causes.

Your $100.00 donation not only includes the entry fee, dinner and drinks, but also the San Francisco Tennis Club will Completely waive the initiation fee for membership! ($1600.00!!). WOW!!!!!!!!!. If you would like to join us as an observer or fan, a $30.00 donation will entitle you to dinner, refreshments and great entertainment.

So come and join us for a good time of tennis and friendship, as we continue this fun tradition between the SFFD and the SFPD. All players compete at their own level.

Prizes, donations, and/or contributions are graciously accepted for our auction and raffle. If you would like to participate, donate items, or would like an application for the tournament, you may call any of the following individuals.

Inspector Robin Mattews 415-553-1093
