Dear Sally,

On behalf of the members, staff, and children of Mujeres Unidas y Activas (MUA), I am writing to thank you for so generously providing so many wonderful presents for our Dia del Conejo Easter Celebration.

This past Saturday, MUA distributed stuffed animals to the children of over 80 members. It was quite a sight to see the children deliberating which stuffed animal they wanted to take home. I’ve enclosed some photos of our happy kids with their presents. Please pass our gratitude and the photos onto the firefighters for helping to put so many smiles on our little ones’ faces!

Because the SF Firefighters Toy Program was so generous, MUA is also going to be able to provide toys during our annual Dia del Niño celebration at the end of this month. This day is traditionally celebrated in the home countries of our members, and MUA always organizes special food and games for their kids that day. This year will be the first year that MUA is able to give each child a present.

The generosity of the San Francisco Firefighters Toy Program helped make MUA’s Easter celebration joyful for the children of MUA members - all of whom are low-income Latino immigrants. Thank you again for your support and generosity. We look forward to working with you again in the future!

Warmly,
Andrea Lee
