“FUN SHACK” Party Draws a Wild Crowd
The first annual Hawaiian theme Summer Party was a great success. Over 550 tropical savages flocked into Bimbo’s and tore up the dance floor as well as the bar. Close to $2000.00 was raised for our own San Francisco Firefighters Surviving Families Fund.

Everyone took advantage of the night to blow off some steam and come together to enjoy one of our Department’s two major events. It was great to see the tropical theme well represented. It was also a pleasant site to see how many of the guys bought the identical Hawaiian shirt from the same supplier; smart move in the “STANDING OUT” dept.

We would also like to take the opportunity to thank KSJO, 97.7 the WAVE, various bars, and BIMBO’s for highly promoting the event.

John Kosta, John Rocco, and Frank Roldan have already begun working on the 8th annual night after Thanksgiving party. This year will by far be the biggest of all time. Last year over 600 tickets were sold out in the first 72 hours of the posters getting to the firehouses. Tickets will be available Nov. 1st and Bimbo’s has already been booked. DO NOT wait until the last minute, if possible start sign up lists in the firehouses and take everyone’s orders.

For tickets contact John Kosta (C), John Rocco (C), or Frank Roldan (A) at Station 8 from Nov. 1st on. Sponsor’s are already showing interest with proceeds going to our own Firefighter’s TOY PROGRAM.

For those of us who have attended this event in the past we are all aware or how big this event has become, please keep that in mind! Can’t wait to see you there.
